Question by : When you recycle cars,who makes the money and whats the process?
I want to know when the people who advertise “we buy junk cars” and they crush it,what happens after?how much money do they make and where does the car go?
Basically im asking for the entire detailed process.

They dont recycle it in a literal sense. what they do is send it to a junk yard for those fortunate people looking for that car in a junk yard to find, then pay for it.
thats how its recycled, thats how the money is made from it.
(most parts on a car cannot be recycled)

If there is anything on the car that can be sold for re-use, that is separated first. There are markets for used wheels, body parts, tires, etc. The rest of the car will generally have value as scrap metal. The car is mostly steel and that is worth a couple of cents per pound. Radiators, wiring, alternators and other motors may contain copper which can be separated. Catalytic converters contain platinum. What is not feasible to recover winds up in landfills.
They separate the parts of vehicle in different category. Just like re-usable, wires, metals, steels .. so on. Then send them to different part and make money from them.
