Question by LcMar: I got in a car accident, i only have liability on my car, should i trust people that buy wrecked cars?
Since i only purchase liability on my car, i doubt i would get any money for it. So i am not sure what to do, except sell my car as is. But i also i am not very sure about how much i can get for my car. I have a Mitsubishi eclipse RS 2001. The front got hit pretty hard, but everything in the interior is fine as well as the driver’s side of the car.

Usually if you wreck the vehicle and the motor is affected you wont get much more then 100-200 american dollars.

I am an insurance adjuster dealing with cars. Now you can usally trust the salvage guys but call around first and have some photos taken of the vehicle that you can email to the salvors. Some guys out there will just pay 100 for anything don’t listen to them. You should be able to get between 500-1500 for the vehicle depending on the motor condition, interior, and transmission. Also is the title clean or do you have a lein on it. That will matter alot to the salvage guys. I assume that you only carry liabilty that the vehicle is paid off.
What choice do you have. Either trust whoever will buy your car or get it fixed. The person who buys it will get it fixed and sell it at a higher price. It might be less expensive for you to save up some $ and get it fixed yourself rather than buy another car.
AM DEALING WITH THE SAME THING SO i WOULD SAY SINCE THE INSIDE IS COOL AND JUST FRONT END DAMAGE GO AHEAD AND SELL YOUR CAR BUT CALL AROUND FIRST. AT A DEALER THAT I WENT TO THE OFFERED TO GIVE 2000 FOR MINE AND I HAVE A 2000 MAZADA 626 EVERYTHING IN THE ENGINE IS GOOD IT JUST THE FRONT GOT SMASHED UP AND SHIFTED TO THE RIGHT. JUST CALL AROUND AND SEE.
